Congratulations! That’s a super achievement for you both. Hope there was some serious celebrating!

There are some nice runs to help you carry on post couch to 5k. Hopefully they’ll have unlocked in the app. Running 5k in 30 minutes can be a challenging goal. Instead, it’s usually a good idea to just build up your run time slowly until you hit the magic 5k, and let the speed come later. The app has good advice on this.

If you’d like a virtual badge, post on the thread linked below and Annieapple will sort you out.

Congratulations. I graduated too, nearly didn't go as the weather was awful, but skin is waterproof right?? It's a good feeling isn't it? I was buzzing all day.

Please don't put pressure on yourself to do a 30min 5k, that has ruined my relationship with running several times. It isnt actually a speed that the average runner achieves. I think i read somewhere that the average woman runs 5k in 36 to 40 mins and the average man only a bit faster

My plan is to increase the time I run by 10% a week and gradually I'm sure the 5k will appear 🤞

Good luck with your running journey

Thanks very much 😊 yes, the app is a little unrealistic in what it thinks a non-runner would achieve in the time set, but don't worry, we were prepared for that. Going to keep going and actually use the course that our local Race for Life will be run on as that's our goal for this year 😁 x
