I’d promised my son I’d drop him off at the gym again for some gentle exercise ( now that he is allowed to again) this morning so I parked up outside, gave him my car keys and my headphones case, and went off for my run. I’d grabbed my sunglasses too as it was glorious sunshine albeit really really windy but a lovely day for a run.
I repeated C25k Wk4 again and even though half of it was against the wind I managed to shave 40 secs a mile off my time. The 3 minute runs were easy peasy but the last 5 min one was against the wind all the way and I was flagging a bit by then so I am surprised I managed to be faster.
Also my avg heart rate was lower by 10 bpm too so all in all I’m pleased with the result.
Looking forward to some decent runs again once my fitness level is improved.

Well done limberlou - it has certainly been pretty blustery today so you did well and how great that you are seeing those improvements in time and hr already!🙂👍
It was gorgeous here yesterday , even with the wind, and I even managed to potter in the garden a bit later too …. Sweeping up a whole bagful of camellia blossoms which had come down with the stormy weather, forking over my raised beds and general tidying I’d the back garden. It’s still dry today ( for a while ) so I might tidy the front garden a bit and then sit and go through my seeds and do some planning for sowing. I love Spring!!! 😁
Good to hear that you are both building your fitness back! The wind I your face is lovely but makes it hard work doesn't it! Yesterday I decided I needed to throw a decent hill into my run so headed uphill out of town. I felt amazing as I was really coping well... then I turned to run back down and realised I was having to work quite hard against the wind... turns out going upwards I was wind assisted !!
