Really struggled with my 5k run this weekend - felt like running through treacle and legs so sore I felt like crying. Woke up on Sunday with flu like virus which in hindsight was brewing on Saturday and would explain why it was so hard - so the lesson for me - sometimes it is ok to stop and I am not invincible. Feeling proper sorry for myself now especially as the sun is out and it would be a nice day for a run but definitely a “on the couch and regular paracetemol “ sort of day instead

🍏🤗❤️‍🩹 commiserations!! Hoped you are all wrapped up on the couch. Amazing how much our bodies let us know a thing or two! Get well soon & those runs will wait! The sunshine will cheer you up! Xx

Oh that's awful, there's always a reason isn't there? Rest, keep taking the paracetamol and the runs will be waiting when you return

Ahhh - sorry to hear you are under the weather. At least you now understand there is a reason for the difficult run. Hopefully it will pass quickly and you will soon be out in the sunshine.

Oh poor you! I’ve had the same happen to me many times and I never seem to be better at recognising when something is brewing! Get well soon and take care of yourself ❤️‍🩹
