Hi all, have just finished W4 and very happy with this plan and how I'm feeling with it. In fact I was very surprised today when Laura told me I was half way through the final 5 minutes as it felt pretty good. However, I'd like your thoughts for W5 because there are a few days when I'll be away from my 'running ' shoes and would like ideas on how to manage it.
Essentially I won't be able to run on any day from the Friday to the Tuesday so do I:
Do R1 and 2 of W5 on my usual Monday and Wednesday and then do R2 (again) and R3 on the following Wednesday and Friday. Or
Do all of W5 this week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) and move to W6 the following Wednesday. One point on this is I do feel I really benefit from the 2 days off that I have Saturday and Sunday. Or
Just keep progressing through the runs, no repeats, just doing them when I can.
If you've read this far, thank you and if you also have advice, again, thank you 😊
Wishing you a great weekend!

I don’t really think it matters! My personal choice would be finish week 5 this week and then pause, and start 6 next week.
The thing is life will always throw challenges in the way of running but as long as the break is not too great (2 weeks at your stage I’d say) you will be fine to pick up again.
Congratulations on completing weeks 1 to 4 of C25K, I am sure you enjoyed all those runs, there is no harm on missing a few extra days off running due to work commitments, you can do runs 1 and 2 of week 5 on Monday and Wednesday but you don't need to repeat them unless you want to and run that milestone run of week 5, run 3 the following Wednesday.
🍏 Good advice from AlMorr & Hidden You are making excellent progress through the program and I am so delighted for you that you are enjoying it. Extra rest days often help us run better as you have already experienced so run when you can! Keep in touch & let us know how it’s going! Keep smiling, keep running! ☺️
Firstly, we'll done on reaching W5, awesome!I'm a bit further down the road than you, W9 this week, but I've also had problems with consistency of my runs. I started my journey in December but due to going into hospital several times, operations and gout in my knees, I've had enforced periods of not running and it's taken a while to reach this point.
From a "new runner's" point of view, I can't see a few days lay off being detrimental or, indeed, repeating runs. Do what feels good for yourself, the end result is what you're looking for and you don't need a strict time frame to achieve it, in my opinion.
Hope that, whichever way you choose to go, it works for you and you progress futher
Some great tips here. so nothing to worry about Also, you can always pop in a few simple strength and stamina exercises to keep things moving a bit... short, but effective things... and there are loads of ideas on the S and F Forum to help with this, if you have not already visited!
Morning. I started this year's YWA 30 day programme at the beginning of Feb so I'm hoping to continue that whilst away - absolutely loving it this year - not quite so much the second 'day 6' she threw in on Day 13!! Wasn't sure I'd managed the C25K and YWA after a dodgy few months health wise, but so far, so good - great to have found you all too. Lovely support and fab advice. 🌹
A lot of this is very familiar. I don't think I' ve ever not run on a Mon, Tue or Friday. Can't imagine such a thing.I also feel the benefit of the two day break on the weekend.
