Did everything wrong, but...

So, I have just done my very first run. I hadn't intended to - I was just walking the dogs but, having been poorly, I was curious to know if I could run, even super slowly, for 60 seconds. I put on the week 1 podcast to try 1 x 60 second run and ended up doing the whole lot. I wasn't dressed for it (walking shoes not running shoes) and I ended up holding 2 dogs on their leads, my breasts (no sports bra for dog walks) and a backpack that was bouncing all over the place. Non of it ideal and I really enjoyed it. I'll start properly next Monday with better preparation but very much looking forward to getting fitter and the run today has really encouraged me to go for it. Ps All the comments about going as slow as you need have been super helpful. Thank you !

Maybe pop into the Catch up Corner... and share your experience... it is all about the joy of the slowness !

That made me smile. Strike while the iron is hot and the boobs are unfettered! Well done 👏

This made me laugh - it sent me back to my very first run about 5 years ago. I was wearing heavy walking boots and tried Week 1:1 out of curiosity.

Anyway, you can cross off that first run, get some proper gear (doesn’t have to be expensive) and get going on run 2. Good luck 🤞

Good for you….. sometimes it’s the best way just to do it when the urge is upon you, whether you’re dressed appropriately or not…… just pretend you’re running late for an appointment and are walk/running to it to get there on time! 😀Brilliant, you’ll be all set for run 2 . Knowing that you can do it even when you’re hindered sans sports bra , with a backpack, and two dogs means run 2 will be a doddle! Well done 👏 xx
