So Iāve not managed to get outside. Just canāt bring myself to do it. Iām far too heavy and far too slow. So back in the gym and on the treadmill set the incline to 1 (most people say do this to simulate being outside). Feels not as hard this time around maybe because I know I can do it?

Iāve just started and Iām doing it on the treadmill and Iām finding it hard. Was determined not to do it tonight but I forced myself. Keep it up youāll get there and feel better about yourself x
Ok... thatās all fine... you ran, thatās what matters right now, great job.
There is no too slow, if youāre running itās fast enough. You may be overweight, but youāre not to heavy to do this... we had a 125kg person graduate recently, and I bet they werenāt the heaviest to do this. It will all get easier and itās nice to read that youāre finding that already... you can do this again... and you can then do anything.
Well done... now.. trust the plan... relax and don't be too hard on yourself...There is no too slow... and there is always slower... just take it gently and when you are ready..head out again... and know you will be fine!
So pleased to hear you found it a little easier this time round. Well done for getting back on with the programme. I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes
You're never too heavy or too slow to run outside, but that said, there's nothing wrong with using a treadmill. You're running again, that's the main thing!
Iām carrying an extra person in fat (I call her Ethel) and I tend to run early in the day or at dusk. I often pick routes with side paths so I can duck down them if I see someone coming ! So there are ways to run outside if you want to, and once youāre really into this, youāll stop minding so much anyway. In fact I scattered a group of 7 people and 3 dogs the other day without even slowing down. Not that Iām ever fast, but you know what I mean š
