2024: W30R2 - 10K!

Today was a beautiful day!

Due to lack of time at the end of the week, I tried a longer route today.

I hit the 10 kilometer mark today! That's my personal record! 👍

I wandered a bit and had to stop more often - also because of the crumpled socks in shoes, which messed up my final time - but done!

But there are several questions associated with this:

- should I go to the forum "Brudge to 10K now?"

- should I run 10K three times a week? (I don't think it's possible for me yet...).

I think I'll have to get some new shoes and better socks.

I hope I can solve this mystery. For example, if I buy some socks two sizes smaller, I hope that will be better 🤔

I really don't know if I will be able to run again this week. If so, I'm planning a shorter rest route.. 🙂

Thank you all for your support.

Happy running!

Absolutely fantastic! When you get over to Bridge to 10k, you can claim your shiny 10k badge. Your run reports are absolutely right for over there. We’d love to see you!

As for what you “should” do, that’s totally up to you! You could do lots of things. I haven’t seen anyone running 10k three times a week, but if your running has built up to that and you want to, that would be an option. Most of us are doing a few shorter runs and a longer run each week. The longer run doesn’t have to be 10k though. You might like to continue to build your distance, perhaps on the aptly named “Fun beyond 10k” forum. The world is your oyster!

The main thing is to keep running in a way that you enjoy and let the details fall into place.

Congratulations again!
