Today was challenging again. Due to lack of time I had to run in the dark. I completely forgot that the hills are invisible in the dark and that it is difficult to adjust the pace. At least for me, because I was somewhere else today.
It would be a nice run though.
I was surprised by the Orthodox icon shining golden into the darkness in the fields.
I feel very tired. I think I went overboard this week.
Time for a little recap:
- I ran 24.4 kilometers this week.
- Since the beginning of this year, 2024, I have run 40.72 kilometers.
--
Last year I ran a total of 394.7 kilometers (approx - I failed to measure a few times)!
Happy running! π

πYour stats are incredible Lusmo.. I have never bothered putting mine together! I have also never run in complete darkness so was interested to read your post & see your photos! I have run predawn but it gets lighter with each step! There is an NRC run called Running in the dark with very sensible hints and tips plus safety advice. Well worth listening to! Hope you can rest your body this weekend!
Running before dawn must be an amazing experience.
But I'm afraid that for me - as a lifelong strong owl - it's almost unattainable (even if I woke up by chance, I probably wouldn't remember anything from that run π€£)
Statistics are a good way to encourage yourself π.
I am going to research NRC more.
I don't have much time (I'm also at work today), but I definitely have it on my "running" TO DO list.
