🎉 5th Runniversary 🎉

In my haste to make my runniversary post I neglected my tradition of adding a photo of old running shoes going to the shoe (recycling) shop in the sky!

This pair survived about 1200 km of running and lived for another 300 to 500 km walking and hiking 😯.

This is unusual. Normally 800 km is the limit.

November 2018 I graduated from C25K at my local parkrun... at which I am now a Run Director 😀👍

Celebrate what has passed and look forward to the future. Have a fantastic 2024. And maybe I'll see you at an event near you!

This pair are unmatched for value. I got them on offer via Go Outdoors for £25.

But with how my running has evolved I wouldn't ever get another pair of this model again (after 3 iterations). They were great at the time.

Thanks GOG! I found my feet slipping inside them too much and causing blisters around the big toe area. And the foam near the Achilles support was starting to show.

Ouch! I held on to my old ones for far too long because I couldn't find a suitable replacement. It was heaven when I finally got new ones!

Congratulations on your 5th anniversary. I looked it up - it’s wood (in the marriage world). Maybe go hug one of those Parkrun trees to celebrate?!

Doing the maths - 1200km / £25 = 48km per £1. So long as you are injury free, that looks like good value!
