Finally - it took 11 weeks due to travel, but I finished as I started in September with a lovely run among the Canada geese and ducks on Regent Canal’s towpath (I am surprised they dare be out this close to Christmas 😜).
I am still much much slower than my former slow-paced self. Last C25K graduation 9 years ago my 30 min run was 4.3 - I am now down to 3.25 - slower than I normally walk. But frankly, it doesn’t matter. I can run again, and intend to carry on till my bones, tendons or muscles won’t carry me anymore!
As an aside, I ran into an old colleague last week who thanked me for recommending C25K years ago, when he was a very stressed CEO. He completed the programme and says it helped him lose most of his overweight, and now often does trail running in Borneo where he lives. So the C25K reaches around the world.
Thank you to the community for the support.

The Regents Canal is lovely, as is Regents Park. Back when the traffic was better and the kids were small I'd drop my husband to his office in central London just so we could drive past the zoo and see the zebras. Happy days
It is lovely. When I am out early enough I run past and wave at the painted Africa dogs and wild boar who live next to the canal. Anytime after 8 there are too many tourists on that stretch though, so I go the opposite way towards King’s Cross which has a different kind of charm.
