The podcast called Sliced Bread has an episode of interest to runners. It's called 'Outdoor Clothing', available on BBC Sounds. It explains how certain sports fabrics wick away the sweat. They really are the best thing since Sliced Bread for those of us out there clocking up miles. Also discussed are merino fabrics, and breathable rain jackets. This episode is 29 minutes long, perfect for listening to while out on your next run.

This is a really informative series. They also have an episode about very expensive running shoes (the conclusion was that they work but only if you're already an elite runner).

That's a relief! As a happily ordinary runner, I'm glad to hear I don't need really expensive running shoes.

Yes, Sliced Bread is an interesting series and the episodes are a good length for C25K graduates out for a consolidation run. I see there is an episode about sports bras as well.

I am finding podcasts good for my longer run of the week. The 'Just One Thing' podcast by Michael Moseley has some interesting episodes too; Embrace the Rain, Reheat Pasta, and Practice Pilates to name just a few....

They also have a very balanced episode about barefoot shoes.
