I've been looking forward to today's run for several days. It was supposed to be 7˚C outside and I was about to explore a new route.
But at night it "poured like a bucket" and in the morning I was greeted by 0˚C and quite heavy snowfall.
My soul protested loudly:
"Look outside, it's horrible!
After all, nothing happens if you miss one time!
No one can blame you if you stay home today!"
I have found that the best thing to do in such a case is a simple thing: Don't discuss!
"Blah, blah, blah", I declared, got dressed and headed out the door.
"The important thing is that I didn't stay home", I told myself, so I decided to set this exact pace:

On the way, I wondered if I should try a new route or not.
In the end, I looked around and got exactly what I deserved: 🤦
- I had to stop many times.
- I waded through the snow
- I waded through the mud
- I waded through puddles
- I fell into the mud (not only the ice under the snow, but also the mud is quite treacherous).
But at least it's soft!
- I was drowning in the swamp (just a little :))
- I had to overcome roadblocks
- I overcame a dangerous place, when the road led under high voltage wires 😱
...
Now I have to clean everything from mud.
Including the phone I was holding when I slipped in the mud.
I had to check if I was on the right path
So: It was absolutely great! 🤩
Lots of experiences. I definitely enjoyed it more than running round and round the oval.
I just don't know where to go next. I won't be able to use this route again :-))
Happy running!
