I thougt as I was running my old graduation route this morning,

How elated I felt to run for 30 minutes ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

How much hard work it was to get through some of those early runs๐Ÿ˜…

How exausted I felt..burning legs, breathing all over the place.. feeling like I couldn't go a step further..๐Ÿ˜…

But sticking to the program come rain or shine.. lockdown, treadmill runs to get me through ๐Ÿ˜†

Embarrassed how I looked.. not having all the right kit... ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I just wanted to give a bit of encouragement to those that are in the beginning of your C25K journey..๐Ÿ™

You're probably already hooked as I was, amazed at how you do progress through every run..no matter how tough it feels at the time...you grit your teeth, push as much as it takes to get that run done.. and tick it off.. elated when you did๐ŸŽ‰

And on to the next.. proud.. and posting.. asking advice (always ask) ๐Ÿค—

This forum is just the best!!!!

You'll find if you keep on as you are..

You WILL graduate..you will make many virtual running friends that see you through the whole journey and beyond! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

It's just that one step..one run.. dedication.. and all the absolute joy it brings to you ๐Ÿ™

The future you has so much more to achieve, ๐Ÿฅ‡

I'd never in a million years have thought this was me.. but it is.. I'm a proper runner ๐ŸŽ‰

(Well in my imagination)

Still.. can you run... a 5K?

a 10K?

a HM? I've never gotten further (yet)๐Ÿ˜†

Yes one day you really can!!!

Go run and have fun ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‡๐ŸŽ‰

Have you noticed all the hero images (as that's what they call them) for the Garmin challenges have a watch prominently displayed on the people in the photo?

No Nowster? Hero images? I've tried to zoom on the pic, but don't understand ๐Ÿ˜‚

The same images also appear on the Garmin website. That's where I grabbed these from.

PS. Congrats! You're well on the way to getting that badge. Another 57km to go in just over a fortnight.

Go Sparky! You reminded me how daunting it was the first time I wore lycra leggings ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ who'd have thought I'd ever be running in public in shorts?!?!Good luck with the challenge!

A very inspiring post from you Caroline, I know that you will complete that challenge, by the way last Saturday saw the inaugural first parkrun at Elder Park, there were about 200 running in the park, there is a video taken by one, perhaps two of the runners who ran, this Wednesday morning I have just come back from running my 27th 10K in a time of 1:12:46

Thanks Caroline, that Elder Park parkrun is on YouTube at "Inaugural Elder Park parkrun, Fatrunner Elder Parkrun " (17.18) the runner runs around the first lap in 'realtime' at the 2nd and 3rd lap the video is fast forwarded until the last 50 metres then back to normal speed.

So sorry to have missed this sparky66 ! What a great and inspiring post ๐Ÿ˜Š. I remember when I started clutching my phone and sweating like an idiot wearing the wrong clothes thinking there has to be an easier way to record this! The running may not always seem easier, but at least I donโ€™t carry things any more! Hope you had an early run today?! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
