Well here we are again, not running. I got so far as week 5 run 2, feeling ok, ran it twice to convince myself I was ready for run 3. Bit of a funny feeling in my left ear though. Oh no, glands are up on that side. Next day no energy, ear feels much worse. Leave it a couple of days. I'm no better, but no worse and itching to get out, and it's a lovely day. So I go out and repeat run 2 again. It's like running through treacle, but legs are working fine, breathing is good, and the second half feels easier. Next day I'm surviving on paracetamol and glued to the sofa. Everything feeling swimmy when I stand up. Still feeling much the same several days later although I'm feeling a bit clearer headed today, I'm going to give Pilates a miss this morning - don't think I'm in a fit state to tackle those downward dogs. Going to give it a couple more days then I'll beg my GP for antibiotics if I don't feel any better.I'm so glad I sneaked that extra run in, it was a lovely sunny moment between rain and sofa!
Stuck in the middle with - er, Denise. Sorry, ... - Couch to 5K
Stuck in the middle with - er, Denise. Sorry, Denise 😬

Oh no! Poor you-you’re doing exactly the right thing in looking after yourself and recovering. Those runs will be there when you’re ready. Feel better soon ❤️

Ear problems are awful! I struggled with one for 5 weeks in July August. I was determined to get back to running; but running through treacle describes it well! Being off balance is dreadful. I hope your problem clears up soon grumps.🙏

👍 🙂

Oh no....that's not nice, get yourself better and keep warm

Hello not grumpy at, I thought I would see how you are getting on. Some running so that is lovely to read, but clearly ear trouble isn't good. I do hope that you are well again especially as your post was two months ago.
Lovely to hear from you! Well I'm fine now but a bit out of practise. I went from ear infection and vertigo to covid with barely a pause for breath, so my fitness nosedived and I didn't feel like doing anything. It's taken two or three weeks to feel like myself again, and catch up with everything.
I went out this very week and tried a week 2 run (very slowly indeed) and it was fine although my foot was quite achey later. I think that's the covid virus finding all your weaknesses and making them worse. (Disclaimer - I am not a doctor!😅)
I've been meaning to do another post but haven't got round to it. I must do that!
