Run 1 of week 2 done and no issues

I was really pleased to have completed the first run of week 2 yesterday with no problem. Considering its a few weeks since I did it for the first time and have been out of action for a while, I would have expected to be back to square one. It actually went better than it did the first time.

I think running with someone seems to take my mind off of the running and the 90 seconds seems to go really quick (but so does the walking bit!!).

Another bit of good news is that I took Oscar out for his walk today and ran for about 30 seconds along the edge of the field and he ran beside me rather than stopping and crossing my path like he did when I tried before. I would love it if he would do that for the 5K when I get there.

🍏🤗Great news Lizzie! Glad Oscar is learning how to run with you too. Two reasons to celebrate!

Yes. He is a little hero at the moment. We have a retired couple a few doors down who have a caravan that's parked on their drive when they are not away in it. We have been past it numerous times before but on Friday Oscar started barking at it as we got up to it. He did the same on the way back and again on Saturday. The owner heard Oscar and checked inside and found a cat in there. It must have sneaked in while they were cleaning it. It was lucky as they don't plan on using it any more this year and the poor thing would have starved in there. He said one of his caravanning friends had a similar thing and found somebody sleeping in theirs!!
