morning all happy bank holiday x I had a lovely day out on Saturday walking the Telford Trail from the town park to ironbridge and back - 31.7 km but time I went to bed ……

Yesterday I had visitors but had a LOT more energy than I normally have so today I felt ok and thought I’d go for a leisurely walk - no phone on me ( sorry Jo W) but I ended up jogging for 28 mins on a new route so no clues as to how I was doing… by the time I looked at my watch I’d done 18 mins so thought I better turn round and head for home ! I probably could have gone another 2 mins but as it was my 1st 28 minuter I didn’t ! So close to grad no point risking injury…..

My Garmin now tells me :

1. My fitness age is 57.5 ( I’m actually 62)

2. My vo2 max is 34 which is apparently excellent for women of my age (what it needs to be to get into the purple”superior” zone I don’t know!)

3. My predicted time for 5k is 35:10 which is only 9 secs off my last parkrun PB from aug 2021

i am totally and utterly amazed that I’m able to do this so please, anybody doubting themselves or the programme please keep the faith - I feel amazing truly amazing so thanks to everyone involved xxxx
