Completed week 8 run 1 last week and thought it was a little trying but finished with some spare energy for a weights session in the gym. I was due to do week 2 yesterday but felt knackered and tired so gave it a miss - listened to my body for once!
So then comes today. For various reasons, I had to drive to my weight loss class and short circuit training session rather than the usual 20 minute walk. This meant I also had to drive to the sports centre rather than walk. I guess all this change to routine might have had something to do with only being able to run on the treadmill for 6 minutes before the gremlins got a good hold on me. I continued walking with the occasional trot for my normal 45 minutes and then spent another hour and a bit weight training.
So that was my first practise run this time around so not at all bad I guess. Next time will be for real, probably Wednesday.
