What's this, do we think?

So, I suffer from plantar fasciitis and know that niggle. I get out of bed and I'm like 100 years old after 5minutes walking round I'm like 27. Sit still and I'm 100 again when I get up. I now have a new niggle, left foot inside by ankle bone, it feels inside my foot.

It was week 7 run 1 this morning for me, warm up stretches ✔️, warm up walk ✔️ (bit of niggly discomfort but not so as to stop), start my run, about 1 minute in ❌❌❌ no, no, no, I'm going home! However, I walked for a bit towards home, mild niggle again but more than initial niggle in warm up, try a run again ❌❌❌, walk again for about 2 mins, try a run again ✔️ no pain ran for about 18 mins probably. I hadn't turned Jo Whiley off so I know roughly where I was in the timings. Warm up walked home ✔️ no pain, warm down stretches ✔️ no pain, showered ✔️, walked to shop ✔️no pain, sat down with my tea and 🍌 to catch up on here, got up ❌❌❌ ow, ow, ow limping ow, ow, ow - been wandering round typing this and it's getting easier. New Plantar Fasciitis symptom or my achilles do we think? Any advice much appreciated. I don't want to do damage if there are simple exercises I can do. My usual plantar fasciitis I can sort by putting my fuddy duddy shoes back on at ALL times - not attractive but nor is me moaning 🤣

Happy Running ❤️ everyone

Ooch! My friend Oldgirlruns suffered terribly with this and exercises and time helped her. So perhaps she will see this and be able advise.

I remember reading on the forum once that rolling a jar (pesto sauce size) on the floor with your foot helps.

I hope you’ll get lots of helpful responses.

Aaah thank you, I think I've seen posts from Oldgirlruns when I searched PF and achilles earlier on, in desperation - thank you so much for taking time to help me. Happy Running ❤️

Oh how frustrating for you! Hopefully you can figure out what’s up-it sounds like you know your plantar fasciitis well! Running in pain is best avoided, frustrating as that might be. Fingers crossed your usual tricks will settle it down. It might be worth chatting to someone with training if not. 🤞🤞🤞

Hi sorry to hear about your planter Fascilis...I suffered fir a long time...I tried everything , even injections into my heals....then one day read a story in Sunday paper about a clinic in Carshalton that made bespoke insoles by xraying yor feet from all angles many times....

I was very apprehensive as I handed over around £350..wasn't sure if it was a scam..

The insoles arrived in the post from USA..

I wore them continuously in slippers-shoes - wellies all the time and after 3-4 months

It cleared up completely...

This was 23 years ago can't remember the name of the clinic probably not there now.

But there must be something similar around 🤞

Hope you get sorted ,I know how painful it is...👍

Aaah yes I have a feeling I will end up going down this route. I have always worked on my feet and in all honesty never been that kind to them. I'm trying to love them now and make up for it. Thank you for your help - it's much appreciated.Happy Running ❤️
