Just completed week3 run 1 this morning after losing my fitness and restarting the program.

My knee is hurting a little even with supports on but I managed my run.

Any thoughts on if I could take 2 days rest breaks instead of 1 to help this?

Hi Angie09 , definitely take at least one additional rest day. You shouldn't run in pain, and there's no reason to limit yourself to a single rest day in between run days. Your body needs to recover even when you're not experiencign any discomfort.

Unless you're wearing knee supports on medical advice, I'd wouldn't have thought them necessary or advisable. Finding ways to strengthen your knees through exercises, ensuring you have the right shoes for your gait, and not pushing too hard should help build strength so you don't need supports.

Happy running!

Thank you so much. Knee support not on medical advice.
