JUST GRADUATED! Hurrah….. and here is a promised picture of the lovely start I get – with St Michaels Mount in the distance.

I decided to begin without any audio today and at the 5 min mark the church clock said exactly 6.15 as I left the village. Some way in I realised it was time for something distracting to listen to and I faffed about trying to connect, eventually only getting an Audio book as none of my podcasts worked. However, somehow in my Luddite madness I managed to “pause” the run. I had no idea how long I’d done it for as hadn’t realised – so just pressed play and carried on trying not to think about it. The last 60 seconds was a killer but as walked back into the village the church clock said 6.50 – a whole 5 mins more than it should have – meaning I’d run for 35 mins! I’m glad it was on the last run as I was so determined to finish nothing was going to stop me.

Thank you to everyone who posts – I have learned a lot from things you’ve shared – and to everyone who has written encouraging comments or helpful suggestions which really made a difference.

I see there is a new forum for those who are about to graduate, or recently have – so I think I might head there next….. Onwards!

Thank you - yes I have! Felt quite overwhelmed (and sweaty) but am now happily showered and enjoying the sensation of achieving something I hardly dared believe was possible 9 weeks ago!

Go you FarSouthWest. It is such an achievement. I am on week 6 run 1 and have slacked off this week. You have inspired me to get out and get back on it.

Oh please do - I've read some of your posts and it sounds as if you feel so much better when you've run. Apart from this last week when I couldn't run on Monday so changed to Tue/Thur/Sat I went early every M/W/F morning. Fortuitous that this last week was a change as not only did it give a nice 1st May - 1st July outcome but I avoided relentless rain yesterday and in fact got through the whole 9 weeks without a single shower - almost unheard of here. Don't give up! And I can promise you a fabulous well earned feeling on graduation - Good Luck!
