Break from running?

We'll be away ten days from Saturday. I'm up to Week 8 run 2 for the second time. If I don't run during the holiday period, am I I likely to be able to carry on with Week 8 Run 3 when we're back? After graduating last September I hibernated until the following March and consequently had to go back to Week 1 Run 1. I'd totally lost it! πŸ˜“ So my question is how long of a break is too long??πŸ™„

Do you want to run during the holiday period... are you able to run? It is usually about two weeks before we lose fitness... and of course it may depend on how much you enjoy your holiday with holiday treats etc? :)

You can so some simple strength exercise too, whilst away...any walking planned? If not then when you get back... head out and see how it all feels... just take a run and test the legs ;)

Thanks Old Floss for your reply. I can't imagine I'll get any time for any significant exercise so thanks for your advice. We'll be visiting family in Sweden so our timetable will depend entirely on them.

My mother-in-law is an expert cake baker but on the whole she cooks healthy stuff. I'll have to be extra vigilant! There's a lovely running track round a lake. I'll try and make time πŸ‘

Just enjoy the break... that is what this should be about... you can come back slowly if need be... but having a happy time is just as important as our exercise, I feel :) An expert baker and time with family...perfect...time for getting back on track after the holiday :) x
