WK6 conquered, C25K all part of my project Fab at 50!

I completed W6R3 yesterday, a lovely early morning run before it got too hot. This was possibly the most enjoyable, comfortable run so far. Heeding all sensible advice about WK6, I took this week steadily but yesterday found that I had enough in the tank for a sprint finish in the last minute, encouraged by Steve Cram (just love him as a coach).

Repeating C25K this year is a very different experience, having dropped 4 stone in weight, running feels very different now. I also love the liberating feeling that I no longer feel like I shouldn’t be out there, I feel like anyone else out there, just doing their thing. Previously, I used to run before dawn to avoid being seen but those days are now long gone.

I turned 50 in January and celebrated with a style consultation to dress for my new shape. This was part of my personal project ‘Fabulous at 50!’ C25K also feels very much a part of this plan.

This forum is so full of helpful advice and support and I’m grateful for everyone who contributes, it’s great to be a part of it.

I will be relishing my rest day today and genuinely looking forward to starting WK7 tomorrow. Have a fabulous day fellow runners xxx

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, as you know after completing that run you are told by your coach that you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, well done also on losing 4 stone in weight, as you say you find running more liberating and more enjoyable with that weight loss, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3/25 minutes runs. 🏃🏾 👍

You must be finding it easier now you’re so much lighter! You’ll be flying 😊 as well as being fabulous at fifty!

I’m redoing the programme too following illness. Don’t think my weight has changed 😀 but I’m enjoying the programme. I definitely feel more confident this time round.

Enjoy Week 7 👏👏👏👍🏃‍♀️
