Just to let you all know that I managed to do it ! I graduated yey !! It took a while longer than 9 weeks due to shift work but I persevered ! It feels great to know that I can comfortably run for 30 minutes and actually I feel great ! I'm going to keep running - will do the 30 minute runs for a while longer and try and improve my distance ( I am pretty slow !)

Anyone know of s good app to map my route distance and pace ? I have been recommended Strava / is this the best one ?

My brother got me into the Nike run club one. Don't know about others but this works great for me. Routes, times, splits - everything I ever need plus more.

I've heard Strava, RunKeeper are the top ones, I use the free Nike one but it doesn't do as much.

It's so much easier when you have a group like this in your corner

Hi. Congratulations! I'm impressed and inspired. I'll be 50 soon too and I'm on week 5 so I feel like I'm a little behind you! I've been using Map My Walk for my walking for a long time and I like it. It seems to work equally well when I'm running and I think there is a dedicated running version. I also hear good things about Strava.

Congratulations Nicciola. Keep smiling, you should be proud of yourself.

I've used Map My Run to track my runs on my phone, but also use it on my computer to plot new routes or distances .
