Morning everyone went for my run 7 week 2 last night about 6 .30 pm. I found it very hard it was very warm. I had drank plenty of water but just found it so hard . Week 7 run 1 I had no problem . Maybe it was just a bad run . Why do we be so hard on ourselves .

Yes, why do we... but we do ! The very person we should be being kindest too :)

It is very warm, and no matter how great how hydration and everything else might be, sometimes... the runs feel harder...

Just try to relax and know that for every run that is a struggle, there are so many more that are not. It shows your strength and your determination in carrying on.

Someone one many years ago said to me, that it is easy to run when it feels easy...but when it feels hard...that shows your true running ability.

Very well done you!

There are so many reasons that a run can feel harder, tiredness, coming down with something, dehydration....the list goes on...

but sometimes it isn't any of them, sometimes you get a bad run and you just need to move past it and put it behind you - the sucky runs make the good runs feel so much better!

Not every run can be a good one, but there's something good in every run!

It's what you drank the previous day that has the biggest effect, hydration efforts from that day is usually a bit late to help.

Definitely ease up on yourself. You still did it! What would you tell your best friend? Why do you deserve worse treatment? 💞

Apart from the condition that we can’t influence (weather being the top one), there are a few that we can control to a larger extent - rest, diet and above all (in warmer weather) hydration. If you don’t hydrate well and regularly, your body will work harder to move you around. We are all different so l don’t know what your water intake should be, but you can find out.
