It's been three weeks since I posted about struggling post possible covid. The last three weeks have been frustrating, lots of having to stop and walk and wondering if I could get back to how I was before.
However, yesterday I started off and for the first time in weeks I had no tightness in my chest and my legs felt nice and light. It was a beautiful day so I took it slowly and just kept going. Before I knew it I'd managed to run 8k without having to stop. Feeling it a bit today and I'm really hoping it wasn't just a blip.
I think what I've learned from this, a bit like doing couch 2 5k, is that no matter how tough it feels, just keep going!!

Great news indeed....It is good to see you getting back on track. Well done you...just carry on... keeping it slow and steady and of course, taking tine to rest up too, if you need to
I definitely need to 🤣 I've just listened to my body, slowed down when I needed to, stopped and walked when I needed to and taken extra rest when I needed to.
Since I started running I don't think I've ever been so in touch with my body. I notice the difference good nutrition makes and the affect junk food has also the importance of hydration...all learnt from this brilliant forum!!
Just great..maybe you could pop into today's Catch Up Corner Post and post what you've just said there...it may be so helpful to our new runners.." in touch with your body"..So glad for you c
