โ€ฆmy guinea pig needs a sleeping bag.

The paper bags you get in the ASICS shop make perfect places to nap for guinea pigs, so it was really, really important that I bought another pair of running shorts.

A few weeks ago, my other guinea pig needed a new house so I HAD to buy another pair of trainers (see here:

healthunlocked.com/bridgeto... )

Have any of you discovered that since starting Couch to 5k, you suddenly have all sorts of reasons for kit shopping that you didnโ€™t know about before? Any new favourite bits of kit?

Well a guinea pig needs to be comfy ! We need to look after out pets :)

I sort of HAD to get a new running cap...

There has been lots of icy weather which was freezing my small ears off...

Mr OF had purloined yet another of my thermal beanies ...

My hair is now pony tail length again,,,

SOOOOO.. there was nothing for it... was there???

I just had to get a TrailHeads Fleece Ponytail Hat with Drop Down Ear Warmer , didn't I ???

Didn't I?

I think it was absolutely key that you had that hat. Cold ears are to be avoided at all costs. Nobody can ever have too many hats in my opinion! Clearly having a pony tail would have rendered any non-ponytail hat unsuitable. That was the only hat that would have done the jobโ€ฆunless you see another one youโ€™re tempted by!!

Now thatโ€™s an exciting trip! I love Decathlon. There isnโ€™t one nearby but I did hear on the grapevine that a new one is opening. That could be dangerous!

Let us know what you buy!!

What I'm mainly after is a spare for my yellow long sleeved winter top. They've been out of stock for ages.

Good luck with just coming out with one thing! I find that impossible in there. Love a long sleeved top. Iโ€™ve got a couple of lightweight ones. I originally had one but I wore it so much I was always in the wash!

I'm pretty sure there are none anywhere near me but I daren't check. Their website has got me in enough trouble! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Pleaseย MissUnderstanding , I had to buy yet another stretchy long-sleeved top because it was in Lidl's bargain box and I feel sorry for those poor unwanted goods.

Also I am a cheapskate, so when I checked my receipt and found extra discount meant it cost a mere โ‚ฌ2.56 I did an extra-happy dance. Then felt mega guilt at not having left it for someone else who really couldn't afford it otherwise, so I shall be doing another wardrobe clearout for charity tomorrow...

Additional memo to self: stop looking at super-cheap running shoes on Vinted. Six pairs, two of which I've not yet worn, are enough.

I can so, relate to this... !

I can absolutely relate to this too!!! Iโ€™ve got a habit of buying ugly teddy bears because I feel sorry for them tooโ€ฆ

You did a good thing for that jacket in taking it to a loving home where it will be treated with care!!

Iโ€™ve recently done a clear out of workout kit that doesnโ€™t quite fit any more. Always feels good to pass it on.

Im the same, I just can't walk past the reduced shelf in Lidi! Ive had quite a few leggings and tops that I had to buy as they were sitting all alone next to bashed up packets of something that no one ever eats!!๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Recently bought a protective cover/surround for my Garmin watch, along with a screen protector! Wish Iโ€™d thought of buying them before I fell a few weeks ago and cracked the watch screen. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Will be needing new socks soon ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ so will have an excuse to wander and look what else might be useful!

Ooh, thanks for the tip. The key question is whether their packaging is guinea pig friendly ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Carners1 profile image
Carners1Graduate in reply to MissUnderstanding

๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” do they like plastic?

MissUnderstanding profile image
MissUnderstandingAdministratorGraduate in reply to Carners1

Hmm, not so much. They do enjoy listening to rustling bags and squeaking in anticipation of food. Maybe that could be entertainment. Or I can use my reusable bag and they can eat the paper receipt!!

It is obvious I need to get a Guinea pig in order to justify buying new kit ๐Ÿ˜‚ My 15 year old granddaughter has one. Her mum bought her a new puffer coat with hood, non-running, she hung it by her bed, in the morning she put it on and went down to go to school and there was a huge hole in the hood where the Guinea pig had liberated the hood for his new bedding ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Just to give it a running link we discovered that the granddaughter has and is going out running very early in the morning to everyone's surprise.

Everyone should have guinea pigs! Your grand daughterโ€™s piggie sounds like a cheeky little one. Absolutely wonderful that sheโ€™s running-I bet thatโ€™s partly down to you. What a brilliant thing to happen โค๏ธ

My weakness is charity shops - I have found all manner of pristine unused running gear in my size which I just can't resist because it's such a bargain!

MissUnderstanding profile image
MissUnderstandingAdministratorGraduate in reply to Liono

Thatโ€™s just a charity donation with the added bonus of running kit! It would be sad not to support whichever charity it is in these tough times. Youโ€™re doing good for the world as well as bagging a bargain!! I never find run kit but someone the same size and with very similar taste in me donates to a particular local charity shop. I think I must be wearing most of her old clothes to work!!

Liono profile image

Ha ha, I always think the same - someone at work probably knows exactly where I get all my work gear from and recognises the lot ๐Ÿ˜‚
