Mixed blessings

Swirling winds mixed with rain met me outside the door. As I slipped into a fast walk to keep sane & warm, I wondered if this was really fun.. conditions deteriorated as I reached the beach & headed into my run. OldFloss’s mantra of do what your body is telling you ringing true in my head…I absolutely needed this run today for so many reasons! Sometimes you need to run so badly that even adverse weather is negligible in comparison! Running always brings its own rewards. Today it was a rainbow & the satisfying afterglow now that I am warm and dry. Run done ✅

I hear tell that there is never bad weather, just the wrong choice of clothes. Mind you, having someone smuggly telling one that when freezing rain is running down the neck is not how friendships are born.

Just got back from my rainy, windy and cold weather run too. No rainbows for me but a lovely cup of tea in front of a real fire in warm jarmie bottoms. So worth it 😊

Sometimes you just have to be out in the wind and the rain. Often if I’m feeling a bit unsettled, the difficult weather feels appropriate. What a great time to see that rainbow. 🌈 ❤️🏃‍♀️
