I certainly did, the lady just behind me is a coach at the local athletic club on a Monday and Friday night, I thought she would pass me but never did, she completed the run 12 seconds behind me, the photo was taken by her husband with 2K to the end of the run
There had been some rain earlier, it stayed dry during the run, that colour run jacket was a birthday present from the owner of Holly the dog, my neighbours dog who I take a walk most afternoons at 2 o'clock.
Yes!! I am so glad you posted this...! Just an inspiration to so, so many folk here on the forums...who says running is for the youngsters. NO ONE on these forums anyway!!!
Thanks Floss, even some doctors say that people over 60 shouldn't run, that's rubbish, that photo was on the "news" Website of Palacerigg parkrun, not the photo one I mentioned the other day, the photo was probably published because the lady behind me is the photographers wife.
Thanks Floss, I know that lady very well, I met her the very first day that I ran at Palacerigg parkrun last September, just to let the other readers know on this forum that she is a coach at the local athletic club on a Monday and Friday night, on a Monday night the club runners, which there are about 80 run around the streets or further, on a Friday night they meet at a school athletic track only a 10 minutes walk from where I live, but I don't intend to join that club.
