Cant wait to tell you all, my family of VRBS, I did itπ πββοΈπ π just finished my graduation run , feel on top of the world despite no sleep last night due to small grandchildren sleeping overπ³
I ran into the light following the trail of brasso aroma kindly laid by Oldfloss whoβs furiously polishing medals for everyone graduating todayπ€£
anyone reading this post who is thinking of doing couch25k but doubting their ability please please try it - honestly if I can do it you can. I am 58, never ran or really exercised since school other than dog walking and chasing after kids then grandkids - and now can run for 30 minutes non stop , unbelievable!!
thankyou to everyone on this lovely forum who has advised and encouraged me, your support and the structure of the plan was brilliant
ok I didnt reach 5k most I ran was 3.8k but that is amazing for me at my age and current level of fittness
I now will be looking for what to do next as defo need structure for motivation
wahey - I am a Graduate , thats priceless saying that I love itπππ

Yes, the support and encouragement along with the programme is amazing x
(I hope so, I might be a bit longer than Iβd have liked (Iβm usually too hard on myself!) as Iβm thinking of taking a few days break and picking it up again Thu/Fri) but heh ho not the end of the world x)
Congratulations on completing C25K with week 9 run 3 and graduating, well done, you should be very proud of yourself π π π.
To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE π next to your username leave a message on the June graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K and graduated, I am sure you knew how to do that, once again congratulations π π π π
thanks backintime, defo the brasso helped guide me throughππ π
Yay! Congratulations! Think I have some graduation fireworks and some cake somewhere... here they are! β¨πβ¨πππ°πΎ π Exciting stuff! I've enjoyed following your running journey, long may it continue!

π€£π€£ hi Meepmum - you have just made me splutter my Brasso π€£π my secret running aid has been rumbled, my secret is out as well as the catπ
I am saving you a place over the other side, in the big school for WHEN ( not if) you graduateππ πΎ you can do this without the need for emergency services, prove to the younguns thers life after 50ππ πββοΈ
Many congratulations! It's an amazing achievement, but the biggest prize is the investment in your health and fitness.
People can struggle a bit for motivation after graduation. What worked for me was setting some goals and then putting a plan in place to get there (I do so love a spreadsheet!).
Good luck with whatever you decide to do, and make sure you keep us updated on your progress!
cheers for that Pianism and thanks for your supportπ
I most certainly have noticed a change for the better in my health and hope this continues as I follow up to the couch25k. I will have to read up and set myself some goals as I need structure or risk falling off wagon. Think the forums help with this too so will be continuing to follow these π
thanks MuddledGardener, ππ still on a high from graduating ( or it cud be the brasso fumes π€«) to big school , will have to be sensible now π€ͺ
soon be your turn, I will be cheering you on, theres life in us over 50s yetπ
I did my first post grad run on Sunday. I didnβt know what to do with myself so I repeated one of the week 9 runs and took Jo Whiley with me! But my goal is to work up to being able to run a whole Parkrun without stopping.
Congratulations on graduating I bet you are buzzing πYou are always here to give advice and support so now that you have achieved your goal please stay and support all the ones that are still on there own journey ππββοΈ
aww thank you Bluetortoise, still cant believe I did it but I didπππ
The first week was sooo hard I honestly didnt expect to finish but the encouragement from fellow programme users was fantastic and kept me going. You are doing brilliant, not long before you graduate, we will all be cheering you along. I need to sort out a plan to continue with as I know I need structure but will stay part of this lovely group ππ
