I've just got my work out gear out of the cupboard so when I get up I have no excuse. I've pretty overweight and fed up so wish me luck. Week 1, day 1 starts tomorrow and I really need to see this through!Any tips gratefully received!!

Good luck to you Purpleelk on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum, as well as being on a healthy diet take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, if you wish you can report your progress on this forum, onwards and upwards.

Some tips I've carried with me since completing C25K... Try and give yourself the best chance preparing for each run. Be the best version of yourself you can at the start line.

Rest days are important. Take them and recover. Hydration and fuelling are really helpful as you progress through and beyond this plan. Everyone is different so find what works for you.

Also, consistency is the magic key because if you get out often and bank the runs, you'll find over time that you'll take anything on 😊 As you go you grow. The plan is brilliant in it's entirety.

i notice you’ve said ‘need to see this through’, try and think about if you ‘want’ to see this through. If you do want to give it a go then great, if it’s not for you, think about what might be - regular walking, swimming, gym?

My tip for this program is to trust it - it really guides you through. I also tried to only look at the day plan that I was due to do.

Tips 🤔🤔 One essential thing that kept me running was this forum and, to be honest, through many ups and downs, still keeps me running. That’s why jm on here today, reading inspirational posts like yours gets me up and running. We’re all behind you, so use this forum, take your time and know you absolutely do have it in you to do this. Please post back to let us know how you get on 😊
