Well, you were all right, and I was wrong. Yes, I could do it, but only if I slowed down and just plodded! So I tried. And I did W5R3 today, and some. I never thought I'd get there, but I did. Actually, I thought the W5R2 was harder, once I'd done that, I knew I could do today's. Well chuffed with myself!! Wonder how I'll fare next week now.......
Smashed it!: Well, you were all right, and I was... - Couch to 5K
Smashed it!
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, just take all the runs slowly, well done.
Well done. Next week will be fine so long as you keep it really slow and keep going... just don't be tempted to speed up !Good luck
Fantastic news! You’re really getting there. I didn’t find that pace for ages and when you do, it really does change the way you run.
Really good luck for your next run. I can see you’re already aware it can catch people out if they accidentally go too fast so I won’t tell you again 😉
Well done Pegix - I'm currently on W7 (which I am extending to two weeks as things keep getting in the way) and doing 25minute runs each session. To start with, it felt like too much but as I have repeated it, I have noticed that my body is beginning to get used to doing that length of time and is actually enjoying it. I remembered this happening the first time I did C25K as well - I think that plodding along (which I'm doing too) really does make a difference, as the fitness builds up unnoticed and then suddently you can speed along to catch a bus without ending up red-faced and out of breath 😁
Well, as Aesop already pointed out: Slow and steady wins the race! 🥳 Congratulations on completing week 5, Pegix !
