Urge to run 2 days in a row

Hi there

Can't believe I'm writing this because at the start week 1 wiped me out for 2 days but...

After 9 weeks due to some repeats, I finished the week 7 section, yesterday and holding myself back from starting week 8 today.

I'm curious as to how long after the 3 week 9 can you go out each day without it been a detriment ?

It is not advisable to run on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, at the minimum you must not run on two days in a row for at least 6 months, 12 months, even better.Well done on getting to week 8, not long now until you graduate, remember no running on consecutive for at least 6 months after you graduate.

Someone asked this a few days ago on Bridge to 10k. It’s worth reading the replies. As AlMorr says, it’s best not to risk it too early.

I know it's tempting, but please don't start running on consecutive days yet Ardenk - the thread linked by MissUnderstanding explains why. Enjoy completing C25K!

How old are you?

What is your running history?

What is your recent non-running exercising history?

Also ...

It takes 1- 2 years (yes, years) of regular running for your body to become fully adapted to the stresses and strains of it.

Runners who are most vulnerable to injury are ... beginners. Can you guess why ?
