Running 2 days in a row?

W3R3 done now. Seems to be going slowly. I'm having to resist the urge to run 2 days in a row. Even though I've been through the c25k before i have been told it is not advisable to run 2 days in a row while re-doimg the programme. Any ideas?

Yep. Don't do it! Your running legs are built on your non-run days. Do some thing else. Swim, cycle, Zumba, gym or whatever 😀

Stick exactly to the programme. Slow jogs are all that's required.

Have fun 😀

Thank you misswobble. I'll do body balance or something. Thank you for the advice

Exactly as misswobble says. If you are itching to be active on a running rest day do something that will support rather than undermine your running.

There are other ways into running - this is one that is predicated on building a sustainable running habit.

Thanks GoogleMe. Is Body Balance something you would recommend on rest days? It's a mix of Yoga and Pilates

Yes.. as misswobble says.. Don't.

Stick to the programme and get to Graduation injury free.. that is what it is all about. loads to do on your rest days.. choose any exercise you like :)

It is a journey..not a race :)

I read recently that bones actually get weaker for a while when someone starts running. Eventually they get stronger but it takes time-this is why rest days are important during c25k and why some end up getting injured!!
