Tomorrow, I will do my 9wk(R1)....feeling proud, happy and excited to finally get here In actual fact this is my 13th week, as running is new to and had to repeat a few weeks but it was all worth it. The sense of achievement on completing each run is absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to continue my journey post the 9th week completion. I've got the running bug 😀
Yay, I'm in my final week - woohoo!! - Couch to 5K
Yay, I'm in my final week - woohoo!!
Congratulations to you Dhibbo on almost completing C25K with only 3 more runs until you graduate, as you have already done, all runners doing C25K can repeat any runs or week's if they want to, I wish you luck for week 9 and especially run 3 which will be your graduation run.
absolutely wonderful that you are feeling so good about running & have 3 runs to do to graduate. It’s going to be a very special week!! Keep hydrating, warm up dynamically and start the first 10 mins slowly & away you will go… you are SO ready for this!!!! 🎶
thanks for the great advice
Well done Dhibbo there's nothing written in stone about 9 weeks. I took 13 weeks too, because I allowed extra rest days as I wanted to avoid injury or the potential for injury when various parts of my legs were tweaking and to accommodate a few bouts of illness. Onwards and upwards
So I've repeated the run 3 a few times now but can't seem to get past 4.75K, but what I am able to do is run for 30mins. I think I wanted it all but finally realised that I have already accomplished so much, as 14 weeks ago, I struggled to complete w1(r1) 😀
Hang on-you’ve repeated week 9 run 3 a few times?
I think you’ve missed that you’ve graduated! If you ran 30 minutes continuously three times, you’ve complete c25k! Distance is totally irrelevant!
If I’ve got that right…

There’s a great guide to post c25k running here…healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Start celebrating!!!
PS: loads of brilliant runners don’t cover 5k in thirty minutes. You’re much better keeping going at your conversional pace and covering what you cover in the time. When you’re ready, you can start building your distance (if you want to) but stick with the 30 minutes for now to consolidate.
Thank you! I thought I could do the 5K but realise now that it will come just as running for 30mins did - thanks for the support, heading over to get my well-earned graduate badge 😍
Hi Dhibbo , as MissUnderstanding has said, if you've done three thirty-minute runs over roughly a week you've already graduated - congratulations! Despite the name of the programme being able to run 5K is absolutely NOT a requirement for graduation.
Indeed, most people on here don't manage 5k in 30 minutes during the programme, and not necessarily after either. Celebrate your achievement!
