Having been stuck on week 5 run3 for what felt like forever, due in part to a horrible virus, I finally find myself having finished week 7 run1. I never made that 20 minutes it was too much of a mental block and after trying a nrc 20 minute easy run because I couldn’t listen to the podcast yet again (I managed 17 minutes) then repeating week 6 intervals I finally did it. I went slow as recommended by so many of you on here, I could even hear my long legged partner actually walking behind me it was so slow but I finished and if this weeks scheduled run2 and 3 go to plan I”ll be doing week 8 at the Queenstown marathon 10km and walking the rest. I had to find something to do while partner runs the marathon! Wish me luck

There are lots of NRC fans on here (me included!). Really glad you found a way to get through that tough run and through the other side. That’s a huge achievement and something you can draw on if you hit another barrier. Congratulations!
I've done c25k several times and always fet stuck on week 5 too....its amazing when you finally get past it. Well done.
Well done southern runner. And, for new runners approaching week 5, that was the week that it all came together for me. I'd repeated all the previous weeks between 3 and 6 times, but from week 5 on I progressed each week. So whether week 5 (or any other week) is more challenging, needs repeating, or is where it finally comes together, there are others on here who have also experienced that and can support you, but also, it's OK to struggle at times, and repeat weeks. Still getting out there is success.
