Back after a hiatus - wow!

Due to illness and being away I missed a few weeks of running, so I went back in the program, and was amazed today at being able to run week 6 run 3 (continuous 25 minutes) without too much drama at all. I even speeded up at the end as I was running very slowly, but didn't stop / walk once.

All this would have been unthinkable in August when I was flagging doing the 60 second runs, the program is amazing and so is how the body adapts. I worried about ever getting fit again and now I am thinking of playing football again when I have finished the course.

There is no real purpose to this post other than to express how pleased I feel !

Great post from you Alchemist, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6 without stopping or walking, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, I agree with you regarding this course, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, not long now until you graduate.

That’s good fitness retention after your break: the rule of thumb is usually two weeks off. Isn’t it great how C25K gets us achieving things we once thought impossible? 👍 Like alchemy!!!
