Welcome back! That first run after not running for a while is a great one. Now you’re a runner who ran a few days ago rather than a few months ago. Sounds like you’re being super sensible taking it gently with your knee.
This time you’ll have all the skills you learned before. Pacing, mental toughness, how to distract yourself, running routes etc etc etc. That will be a massive point in your favour and hopefully you’ll find it easier in some respects this time.
Good luck to you! Looking forward to updates! 🏃♀️ 💪 ❤️
It’s different second time round as you know what to expect (good and bad!) but you also know to trust the plan. Remember how scary some weeks seemed first time round? 😱 Enjoy the journey.
I'm on week 2 second time around - got to week 9 run 2 and then life got in the way and running routine got further and further away. I'm in shock that I was running for 30 minutes in the Spring and I found myself out of breath after 90 seconds this week, but I know it'll build up again and I'm not in a rush!! Just pleased that I managed to get going again. It must be even harder after 3 years - well done for starting up again. 😊
