A bit disappointed today on run 8/2. Struggled in first 1k and walked 3 times. I had changed route and I struggled with slight inclines. Breathing a bit erratic and a pain in abdomen (not stitch). Eventually got a rhythm going and completed 28 minutes. A minute into the cool down walk a big burp leapt out. Maybe my body telling me the wining and dining, (although sober) I did last night wasn't the best preparation 😂😂

8/2 Didn't Go So Well

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
This FAQ post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

It happens... life... living, dining and wining
You know why.. and you know how to avoid that... I should have run today... a glorious morning.. Autumn glory but a poor night's sleep, a few bad dreams and my body said.. nope!
Rest up, recover and the great thing is. that however much we fluff things up.. the runs wait for us ! x

Another experience to notch up! Most of us could fill a book with things to avoid. Here’s one: don’t run straight after a full English 😱

I was nearly sick in a bush after having a cheese and onion pasty as a pre run snack. Won’t do that again!
All of these tough runs are great for learning from. Just treat it like a practice run and think about what you might do differently next time. Really good luck to you.

Ah inclines! I had a struggle with inclines over the weekend! They can take some getting used to. Maybe go back to your original route with a bit of the new route? There again, you’re close to completing C25K so you could finish that on your original route and then start introducing slopes.
As others have posted, we all have good days and bad days.
