I was supposed to run today but my legs have started to ache quite badly overnight. I think I'll take an extra rest day but Im wondering if this is normal and what I could do to make them ache less right now?
No health issues or taking any medicine or anything but did have quite a few beers at a bbq yesterday and maybe it's because Im somewhat dehydrated?
Could I go swimming instead or would it be best to rest completely?
Thanks

Definitely a good idea to keep hydrated especially the day before your run. Swimming sounds an excellent idea to loosen up & keep you motivated. Hopefully you are warming up before the run & doing your stretches after your run to prevent injury.
Thanks for the links, will check them out. Yes am warming up and stretching but I guess Im not drinking enough water. Will make an effort to increase intake.
Just spent 40 mins in bed with feet against the wall and while it hurt a fair bit more at the beginning, Im ok now.
I had the same problem, tried everthing but it kept coming back. Doc checked me out and I was low on Iron. So iron supplements for a few months and it hasn't come back.
