I never thought get to complete Wk4. I must be the slowest person out there but I enjoy being out in the fresh and feel that I must be getting a little stronger. My run takes in the views of the hills and the windmills and that’s what keeps be going. A little nervous about Wk 5 as it looks like a big jump. Hopefully I will manage it fingers crossed 🤞

What a stunning place to run, and week 4 was the biggest jump of the programme, week 5 is slightly less running minutes just clumped together, keep it slow and you will find it fine. Very well done for completing week 4

Well done on your progress.

This FAQ breakdown of W5 may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Counterintuitively, it is an easy conversational pace running that builds your stamina and endurance, not fast running.

Say this sentence out loud to yourself "Am I going slow enough to enable me to speak this sentence in one out breath?" If you cannot, you are going too fast.

I am going to try saying that phrase next run snd check if I am going too fast. Thank you

Fabulous photographs and well done you....just move on, slow and steady and you will be fine..."Believe you can do it, and you are halfway there".

PS

A few of us would claim the , slowest person out there', title....:)

Slow and steady is great!

Enjoy week 5, I found it a turning point. Believe in the C25K programme, listen to the advice from mentors, week 4 has perfectly prepared you for week 5. After week 5 you will have no doubts about achieving your objectives. Stay focused and imagining how success feels.

Don't waste energy stressing over Week 5. You'll be Grand. In fact, W5 R3 is one of the best runs of the program. You come out with a real sense of achievement, that you might actually be a runner and that you could possibly conquer the world.

Thank you soo much for your inspirational post. I shall hold my head up shoulders back and behave like a runner 🤣 Later on that day I will conquer the world if my legs hold out!

Well done on getting this far, what a beautiful place you run in!I get what you mean about being slow, I feel like I'm a snail but speed isn't important right now, you are building up your endurance. If you feel yourself getting too tired on your next run then just take your pace down, it's not a race. Good luck x

That you I think you are absolutely right about adjusting the pace according to how you feel, I shall take that advice and just to my usual trot/ snail pace. Yes we are lucky with the views on our doorstep 🏃🏼‍♂️
