Off on my first consolidation run

I have decided that I still need that little voice in my ear to guide me along so I’m going to repeat week 9 until I feel confident.

I treated myself to new running trainers when I completed this amazing programme - so worth it! 🤗

Well done, enjoy, I'm away from home for a few days with no chance of running so I'm envious. 😊

I did the exact same thing when I graduated. Snazzy trainers! Well done 😁.

Wow! You won’t get lost in a snow drift in those. Jealous!!

Good decision on the consolidation runs. They’re well worth doing 👍

Wow those trainers are cool. A great treat. You will fly along.Yes it's like a little Sat nav, isn't it,

All of a sudden you won't need it but until you do...why not. Happy running.

Ooh, shiny new shoes! 😍

Do whatever works for you, I say. I've repeated W9R3 once or twice.

I’d like to try a 15 minute alarm and just run then wherever I am when it goes off - head back - there’s a coastal flat path I’ve got my eye on 🏃🏽‍♀️🤗

That sounds lovely. The exciting thing about being able to run for longer is that we can discover new routes 🤗

I found repeating W9R2 was much easier than either of the other runs in that week.

Keep running, keep smiling.

I felt a bit of a fraud ‘graduating again’ at the end 😂🤣

Congratulations, may you run many more happy miles in your new shoes! If you decide you want a change from running the same run with the same comments you could try the Nike Running Club app. It's free (and you don't have to buy Nike stuff to download it). It has loads of guided runs - different times and distances. It also has other sorts of runs for when you get a bit more confident, so things like intervals, speed runs, fartleks etc which can make your running a lot more interesting and help you develop as a runner.

There are quite a few fans on here. I've learned an awful lot from the coaches on the app over the past year.

There are quite a few other similar things out there but it's the only one I've tried (cos I like it so much :) )

That’s really good to hear that you’ve been using it so long and enjoy it. You feel a bit lost after completing ct5k and although I will repeat week 9 for a couple of weeks I would want to be stuck on that week. I’ve downloaded the app so I’m going to explore - thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻

Hope you enjoy it, I started using it a week or two after I graduated C25K and never looked back.

I did the same & weaned myself off Denise slowly

Yes I think that’s what I’ll do too 👍🏻

Loving those trainers! Bet they feel great.

I feel like I ought to be sponsored by Nike because I often recommend the NRC app, but it really is great. They have lots of easy/recovery runs that are similar to the final weeks of c25k in terms of run length/effort but with a slightly different flavour of coaching. I’d start with those. It’s worth remembering they don’t include a warm up/cool down walk so add those on. If there’s anything you like the sound of that’s over 30 minutes, you can walk the end/five minutes at the start. Lots of us can recommend suitable runs you might like to start with. Enjoy your consolidation!

Thanks ☺️ they are so comfy to run in, I have wide feet so Nike don’t do it for me, I need big round toes 😂I will definitely give the Nike app a try - I’m going to do two more week 9 runs and then try a couple of the guided Nike runs and thanks for the tip about a warm up walk first 👍🏻
