ο»ΏI did it πŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŽ‰. 9 weeks ago I would have guaranteed that I wouldn't have got this far. OK so I'm slow but at the beginning of this adventure I could barely manage to run for 30 seconds and now I'm 2 stone lighter and running for 30 minutes. It has become my happy place, an escape from life's stresses and it's made me a calmer more patient person. If anybody was in any doubt about trying this I'd say without a doubt give it a go. It's one of the best things I've ever done and I'm so thankful to the practice nurse who pushed me into it and all of you who have given me so much support and advice.πŸ™ πŸ’ž On with consolidation now before I think about what's next. Running is now part of life.πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ 🐌

Congratulations Mouse, you did it! You must be so proud πŸ₯Ή you’ve done so well on your journey and now let’s see where it takes you. I hope I’m not far behind - a bit of a twingey knee today so maybe tomorrow 🀞🏻Keep us updated on what you do next πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Thanks, I'm still buzzing πŸ˜ƒ Take care of that knee but I'll be looking out for your celebration post soon. 😊

I bet you are! πŸ‘πŸ»I’ve just been out for a 6k walk and no knee pain but weirdly it aches when I stop πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Stretches seem to keep my achy (& increasingly aged) joints going. I found a few visits to a physio well worth it. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Dendev75 profile image
Dendev75Graduateβ€’ in reply toM0use

I think you’re right, I haven’t run since last week and I’ve not done any walking or stretches since.

M0use profile image
M0useGraduateβ€’ in reply toDendev75

The older I get the more I realise I have to keep everything moving πŸ‘΅at least a bit or the joints seize up.😊

Dendev75 profile image
Dendev75Graduateβ€’ in reply toM0use

Yes I feel the same - I couldn’t face any exercise during that heatwave but I should have done some stretching πŸ™†β€β™€οΈ

I have no idea, I'll ask her next time though to be fair she would have been happy if I'd committed to anything, swimming exercise class gym whatever 😊
