I'm just starting too, so it would be great to encourage each other, thank you. I am a 65 year old woman in a sedentary job and keen to regain some fitness and good health as an investment in the years ahead. Many years ago I ran a bit, did a 10k and a half marathon, and five years or so ago some park runs, but I was always slow and at the back of the field. Nowadays I don't think speed will be possible, but if I can complete C25K, however long it takes me, I will be proud, and I know it will keep me motivated and trying to improve. Have just done my second run of week 1, so there's a long way to go!

I’m off out tomorrow to finish my week 1 runs … keep up the good work speed isn’t important getting out 3 x a week is the routine I want to crack !

The best thing to do is to post about your progress here in the forum. You'll have many virtual running buddies to encourage you along.

How far along in the programme are you now?

I took three attempts to start C25K. The first time I had to stop after the third run of week 1 due to getting a tummy bug. The second time, I got to the end of week 2 before realising the tablets I was on advised against exercise. I eventually restarted in mid June 2020 (and completed).

I didn't find this forum until W3R3, in July 2020. It's been an immense help.

This afternoon, nearly two years on, I did a 21km run and then did many other things round the house. Things might not go right at the start, but if you persevere you can do amazing things.
