Well done to my little run buddy on his 10th Parkrun this morning. We traveled to a different Parkrun today for some tourism. I’d done this course twice before but it was a first time for 9 year old Oisin. The weather was awful, driving wind and rain. But we did it and crossed the line together in 28:55. He will be getting his first milestone Parkrun T-Shirt soon. I can’t wait to see him in it. My Sister joined us this morning for the celebration. The post run breakfast was delicious.

Congratulations to you and Oisin on completing your parkrun in dreadful weather, Oisin's 10th, yes you will be very proud of him when you see him in his milestone Parkrun T shirt. 😊
Thank you. It is great, Parkrun has become something we both do together. It’s lovely to see him mixing at the start line with kids and adults of all ages. And it gets him away from the PS4 for a few hours.😀
Exactly! I tried to get my son into running when he was Oisin’s age but it wasn’t his thing. Maybe if we had a local Parkrun, but I doubt it. You either love it or not, he was not. Enjoy this time with your son!
Maybe. I've got my husband interested in doing some short runs with me, so perhaps we can get him out as a family run thing, especially when we hit the trails.
I’ve a little guy of 6 years also. I’d love to get him going too with his mum so as the 4 of us could do it together. Maybe later when the rugby season ends.
