Hi everyone. I’m new to the forum and wanted to say hello. This is my somewhat unknown numbered attempt at C25K. I started running in 2010, did C25K and completed so I could do race for life, which was great.
My FIL was running and doing 10k so I stepped up the training and did 10k in 2011. In 2012 I did 5 10ks over the summer (something I couldn’t afford now! Swear you got a discount for a series then!) and it was great. I was on off from this point and was down to do a 10k in 2017 but couldn’t manage.
I had a c section and a bad recovery and then a job working evenings, which is when I run.
During these years, including lockdown I have started and failed at couch25k early on and quit.
This year, after taking a sit down job I decided to get back out there because sitting down was making me both fat and miserable. I like the fresh air and the break from everything.
So, here I am! Week 7 run 3! End goal for me is to run my local 10k race later this year, 10 years on from my last attempt. At the moment however, I am only making 3.3k in my 25 minutes and it’s a really hard slog. I am being tested for asthma, will see how that goes.
