W5r1 done today, went well, although aware of a cyclist that came past us twice along the trail(seemed to take mind off the last 5 min run) he let us know he was passing with a warning shout and thanks, which makes a change from the one's that just shoot past without warning! 😊

Always good when others give you a shout. Nice camaraderie and good for safety too. Maybe it was a good day for it. I had lots of considerate walkers giving me space on this evening’s run.
Great job on w5r1. Nailing it. Enjoy the rest of your week

Asa regular commuting cyclist to/from work, I always try and politely shout out to warn them of my presence. but many runners are in headphones totally oblivious to the world around them.
As a runner and cyclist who regularly wears headphones while exercising, I still maintain my awareness of the world about me!

On track now and having an enjoyable time.... despite the cyclists trying to upend you! Well done you!

Well done on your first week 5 run. I get super confused by cyclists that have a light. I see them behind me out of the corner of my eye and am never sure if it’s a car or a motorbike, or plain old cyclist! I do need my eyes tested though. Good luck with your next run 😊.
Congratulations on your progress👍.....as far as cyclist thing goes,we all think we're trying to keep aware of what's going on around us but doesn't stop "The flash' out on his or her bike catching us by surprise (with or without our headphones on.

Unfortunately most cycles nowadays don't have decent bells. Some, if fitted, are really wimpy little "ting" sounds that can sound exactly like the notification sound on a phone.
I have bone conduction headphones which leave my ears unobstructed, and I still don't hear many cyclists approach.

Some cyclists give a shout but most don't and some won't fit a bell on thier high end sports bike (those with drop handlebars) as its not seen as "cool"Had one the other day who came up behind us and only knew he was there when he slammed the brakes on making them squeal...
