W9R3 - I did it!!!!

I was so excited for this morning’s graduation run 🤗 It started however with a technical malfunction. I couldn’t get my ear buds to pair with my phone but I wasn’t going to let that spoil it, although I would miss Yasmin who has spurred me on from the very start. Park Run was my chosen route and I knew 30 mins achievable but what I didn’t expect was me running for the full 5k (37 mins). Wow!!! 9 weeks ago I would have said “no way” but I can’t quite believe that just happened. I’m buzzing!!! I feel I can call myself a runner now for the very first time in my 50+ years. Just proves that your never too old.

Best of luck to everyone who is their final week too … you’ve got this … enjoy!!!

Congratulations! You’ve earned your graduate badge-wear with pride.

Just be a bit careful with increasing the time you’re running for too quickly-you really don’t want to get injured after such a great success with the programme. It’s recommended that you stick to 30 minutes for a few weeks as consolidation before you start going for longer. Totally understand it’s easy to get carried away when you’re on a roll with other runners around you.

Hope you’re going to be celebrating 🎉🏃‍♀️🏅
