Finished week 5 yesterday and wow! I have really not noticed a difference in my fitness and was dreading this week, I was struggling with 3 minute runs. However as soon as I started running for longer (8 and 20 minutes) I realised how much fitter I was, I did not struggle once. Has anybody else felt the same around week 5?

Week 5 smashed!
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
Every run moves you forward but please don't think that one twenty minute run has transformed you physically. W6R1 catches out more people than any other run in the programme, so stay nice and slow.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey
A lot of people here on C25K report that they are a bit nervous about running run 3 of week 5 of C25K but also say that they feel much fitter than before they started the course. Congratulations to you JoWatson93 on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾
Very well done… and yes, I found week 5 magical. Run 3 really breaks down the mental barrier too.
Well done week 5 is a milestone and you’ve done that 😀
I repeated all the weeks several times up until week 5, but from week 5 onwards was fit enough to move on each week.
