3rd run done and I feel grrrrreat!!!! After the slight disappointment of trying to incorporate run3 into the parkrun and not managing the full 20mns I set off this morning with confidence and completed it with no problems. So I think I have proven to myself that it is the parkrun which overwhelms me. Thank you for the advice and confidence in the replies to my post on Saturday. I knew I was capable of the 20mns as I trust the plan.
I know sometimes wk6 can be a stumbling block but BRING IT ON I'm ready.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5 on your second attempt, probably the best way to get to a parkrun for you is to wait until after you graduate with run 3 of week 9, after that you could go along and run with all the other parkrunners, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊 👍
Yes, having completed Couch25k before I know of this and am ready. Parkrun I have decided I will leave until I am running comfortably for 30mns before doing again. So as you say onwards and upwards thanks.
Parkrun. (or any run when you're with a group) can do this. It's so easy to get swept along at the start and go out too fast. I've done it, and I'm sure most people on here have too. Thing is though, so long as you cross the finish, does it actually matter if we walk bits?
OK, I know, we tell ourselves this, but we always feel that we've cheated in some way if we walk any of it. We shouldn't though. 5k (or whatever your distance) is 5k however you complete it. Sometimes we just need to cut ourselves some slack.
That said, a big well done on completing W5R3, it's always a landmark run.
