I graduated a week ago. I was so pleased to do two consolidation runs, near the sea, up some hills - slowly - and really enjoyed taking seriously the advice to keep to a pace where I could breath freely enough to speak whole sentences. I was even sprinting at the end of the runs.
Now I’ve got a virus - temperature and aches - and I don’t feel like running. (Tested negative for covid so far.)
I hope to get over this quickly and get out there again very soon. There’s loads of interesting places nearby where I’ve often walked and now want to run. I find being able to run in the countryside liberating. I feel lucky.

Running with a virus is never fun… glad to read that it’s not covid. Rest and get well soon, your legs will feel stronger after a few days off and you won’t lose any fitness.
Ah sorry to hear you’re under the weather. Your beautiful routes will be waiting for you though! Exploring country routes where I live has given me so much - we are indeed lucky. Feel better! 😊
Wish I did feel better. Feeling a bit sorry for myself just now. Can’t wait to feel better and get out again! I’m glad you appreciate running in the countryside too!
